    The Prince of the Eastern Province sponsors Wednesday the Women’s Economic Forum 2020​

    Gulf officials and experts review the leadership’s assessment of the importance and role of women economically and socially and plan to empower them
    His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, on Wednesday (November 25, 2020), sponsors the activities of the sixth edition of the "Women Economic Forum 2020" organized by the Asharqia Chamber, under the title "Empowerment and Ambition", at 10:30 am through visual communication technology.
    The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khaldi, appreciated the patronage of His Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province, stressing that it represents the great support for the initiatives of the women’s business sector in the region, pointing to His Highness’s keenness to support the Chamber’s programs and activities directed to this sector.
    Al-Khalidi explained that the forum comes at a time when women continued to record successes in the field of work, following the confidence and support they found from the wise leadership, which contributed to increasing their participation in national development.
    A member of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber Al-Anoud Bint Tawfiq Al-Ramah explained that the forum - with the distinguished participation of a number of officials, experts and specialists (of both sexes) - discusses important axes directly related to the most prominent decisions and recommendations aimed at empowering Saudi women and taking care of their right to obtain appropriate opportunities that are appropriate. With the required specializations, to contribute to the development of the local community and the national economy. While the member of the board of directors of the Asharqia Chamber, Nouf Bint Abdulaziz Al-Turki indicated that the forum, through its sessions, reviews success experiences and development plans in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council to extract lessons learned from previous experiences in this field.​
    The forum will hold four dialogue sessions, in which the first session will discuss the issue of “leaders’ appreciation of the importance of women's economic and social role and their empowerment plans, ”during which Minister of Community Development in the United Arab Emirates Hessa bint Issa Bu Hamid talks about“ the experience of empowering women in the country and their future aspirations. ” While the President of Princess Noura bint Abdul Rahman University, Dr. Enas bint Sulaiman Al-Issa, reviews "the most prominent features of leadership support for the Saudi women's empowerment process," while Assistant Professor of Law at the College of Law at Kuwait University, Dr. Bashayer Bint Yusuf Al-Majed, talks about "the march to support and empower women in the State of Kuwait.

    As for the second session, which is held under the title “Women in Leadership Positions and Boards of Directors,” the CEO of Samba Financial Group, Rania Bint Mahmoud Nashar, talks about “the Kingdom's vision for the advancement of women and the importance of their presence in leadership positions,” while the Vice President of Human Resources at Saudi Aramco Nabil bin Khaled Al-Dabal "The effect of the presence of women in leadership positions in addition to reviewing the company's experience in the process of empowering women, while the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development for the Empowerment of Women, Hind Bint Khalid Al-Zahid" reviews "Policies that Achieve Women's Empowerment and Progress Toward Gender Equality" touching on the role of the government sector and the sector Al-Khas, on the other hand, KPMG partner Al-Fawzan & Partners, Kholoud Bint Adnan Moussa, discusses the most prominent "challenges of having women in leadership positions and boards of directors."
    In the third session entitled "Quality of Life Programs 2020 and their Economic Effects on Women", the CEO of the Quality of Life Program, Eng. Ahmed bin Hassan Badress, talks about "Promising Investment Sectors in Quality of Life Programs", followed by Head of the National Partnerships and Development Sector at the Ministry of Culture Noha Bint Saeed Qattan, who monitors "the impact of culture in stimulating diversified investments", on the other hand, the Executive Director of the Strategy and the Vision Realization Office at the General Entertainment Authority, Ali bin Muhammad Al-Omari, discusses "programs that attract investment in the entertainment industry," while the Executive Director of the business sector in the Tourism Development Fund discusses Wahdan bin Sulaiman Al-Qadi on the issue of "financing and stimulating investment in the tourism sector". The Head of Governance, Risk, and Compliance at the Red Sea Development Company - one of the projects of the Public Investment Fund - talks about the aspirations of the tourism sector in the Kingdom, "successful experiences."​
    As for the fourth and final session entitled "Women and Business at the G20 Summit", the Secretary-General of the Gulf Petrochemical and Chemical Federation and Sherpa will discuss the Saudi Business Continuity Group B20, Dr. Abdul-Wahab Bin Abdul Razzaq Al-Saadoun about "the Kingdom's leadership of the G20" as well as the director of programs at the Al-Nahda Women's Charitable Association And Sherpa, the Saudi Women’s Communication Group W20 Salma bint Rashid Al-Rashed, on empowering "women in business" and reviews the recommendations of the women's file.​
